The small area provides access from one level to another. It is connected by steps which lead to an area of paving and shingle for drainage. The area had been lawn previously without a specific purpose.
Our client asked us to create a stone feature which would work well in the space and with the surrounding materials. We created the horseshoe inspired stone wall, as a point of interest and to shelter a small space for seating.
Denfind sandstone sourced locally from Angus was supplied and laid in lime mortar. Field stone was used for coping stones to protect the top of the wall.
Our client designed and created her own path and groundwork. She often embarks on big landscaping projects and the garden, which is beautiful, is admired by many.
