Masons historically tended to lead nomadic lives. They went where there was employment. Other tradesmen could effectively stay where they were as there was enough trade for their skill to allow them to settle.

Modern society enables us to work in the area of our choosing. Even without being physically present in some cases. We believe to be successful within our industry a penchant to

travel is required.

Although our mason's yard is based in Fife much of our work and craft takes us further afield. In the past twelve months we have worked as far south as Blandford in Dorset to Birkhill, a small village in Angus just to the west of Dundee.

For we are not limited to one particular area nor believe that we should be limited to one particular style of stonework. From Flint to Sandstone, from Dorset to Dundee.

We believe individuality in our craft is key to a sustainable framework.

Sometimes a Stonemason's day can be lonesome and introverted. Expression is formed through the individuals works.

The passion for our craft is what drives The Mason Works. To keep up to date with our latest works and adventures, follow this blog!
