Most of the material was reclaimed from the original structure. All of the stonework was laid in lime mortar. With new granite replacing damaged brick to form a new cover band to protect the top of the wall.

The original structure had been damaged. A tree had been planted close to the wall after the structure had been built. Subsequently the tree roots had matured pushing through the old cementitious mortar. During the dismantling of the wall a coin had been found in the hearting dated 1912.

We used the stone in a slightly different way. Laying the larger pieces at the base of the wall. Replacing soft red brick with reclaimed granite quoins.

The line of the wall has been brought forward away from the tree roots to maintain the walls integrity for years to come.
